Scott and Taylor Spearhead Spartanburgers' Sunday Walk-Off

SAL Hub City Spartanburgers SPARTANBURG, S.C. - With two outs remaining in the ninth, the Spartanburgers were at risk of dropping their first six-game set of the second half of the season. Trailing by two, the offense flipped the script. Hub City (4-5, 35-39) took down Aberdeen (4-5, 28-46) by a 5-4 final thanks to a two-run homer from Quincy Scott and bold baserunning from Josh Taylor, who scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch. After a rare blown save opportunity from the Pensacola bullpen, the Blue Wahoos and Lookouts headed to extra innings in game two tied 3-3. This game got off to a slow start as starting pitchers Adam Kloffenstein and Nabil Crismatt faced the minimum through the first two and a half innings, aided by a double play that Crismatt induced for Lehigh Valley and a frame-ending pickoff by Kloffenstein in the second for Buffalo.
