NWL Eugene Emeralds HILLSBORO, OR - The Emeralds defeated the Hillsboro Hops by a final score of 7-4. Eugene clinches their first series sweep of the season and have now won 8 games in a row. Eugene is 12-2 to start the 2nd half. The Emeralds have tied their longest winning streak in the High-A era, and they'll have a chance to break it on Tuesday. The Hops scored in the 1st inning for the 4th straight game. They got the bases loaded with nobody out but only scored 1 run on a sacrifice fly from Angel Ortiz to give Hillsboro the early 1-0 lead. MLBDL State College Spikes TRENTON, N.J. - The State College Spikes extended their lead in the race for the MLB Draft League's first-half title, plated a franchise record 12 runs in the eighth inning and notched their most lopsided win ever as they defeated the Trenton Thunder, 18-0, on Sunday afternoon at Trenton Thunder Ballpark. The Spikes (14-10) now lead second-place West Virginia (13-11) by a full game with five games remaining on the first-half schedule for all six MLB Draft League teams. TL Wichita Wind Surge WICHITA, Kan. - -Ricardo Olivar ties the franchise individual RBI record with seven in a 15-13 Wichita Wind Surge win over the Tulsa Drillers at Equity Bank Park. After trailing 7-0 in the bottom of the first, the Wind Surge completed the biggest comeback in the history of the team to round out Independence Day Weekend.
