LouCity Rides Overpowering First Half to Knock off Austin in Open Cup
For the second time in club history, Louisville City FC has defeated an opponent from Major League Soccer in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
Louisville used an overwhelming first-half performance to upend Austin FC 2-1 Tuesday night at Lynn Family Stadium, advancing to the Round of 16 of the 111th edition of the annual tournament.

WILSON, N.C. - The Wilson Warbirds were powered by a five-run fifth inning to take down the Hill City Howlers 7-5 in the inaugural game at Wilson Ballpark in front of the first sellout crowd in franchise history.
Wilson (4-6) was led by Tyler Renz (W, 1-0) on the mound, who threw five scoreless innings and struck out five to set the tone. Renz lowered his ERA to 0.90 in the process.

Squirrels Set Franchise Record with Ninth Straight Win
HARTFORD, Conn. - The Richmond Flying Squirrels beat the Hartford Yard Goats, 11-7, on Tuesday night at Dunkin Park to pick up their ninth consecutive win, setting a new franchise record.
The Flying Squirrels (9-1) tallied 17 hits to open the road series against the Yard Goats (4-6).
The win streak surpassed the previous record of eight consecutive wins from May 2021. The Flying Squirrels have the best record of all 120 teams in Minor League Baseball.

Late Heroics Lift Biscuits to 2-1 Extra-Inning Win over Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA, TN - The Montgomery Biscuits edged the Chattanooga Lookouts 2-1 in 10 innings on Tuesday night at Erlanger Park.
The Chattanooga Lookouts (8-2) struck first in the third inning when Dominic Pitelli connected on a solo home run to right field, giving Chattanooga a 1-0 lead.
Montgomery's pitching staff kept the game within reach, as three arms combined to limit the Lookouts to just two hits across nine innings. Garrett Edwards set the tone with 6.0 strong innings, allowing one run while striking out six.
