LouCity Brings in Dynamic Forward Akale on Multi-Year Contract

December 12, 2025 - Louisville City FC has signed 28-year-old forward Mukwelle Akale to a contract through the 2027 season, with a club option for 2028. Akale joins LouCity after two seasons with New Mexico United, where he scored seven goals and registered 11 assists over 59 USL Championship regular season games between 2024 and 2025. LouCity's 2026 Home Opener Set for March 14 at Lynn Family Stadium

December 11, 2025 - Louisville City FC will host Miami FC at Lynn Family Stadium on Saturday, March 14, in the club's 2026 home opener. Kickoff time for the game is to be determined. LouCity will open the season a week earlier on Saturday, March 7, on the road against in-state rival Lexington SC in the Commonwealth Cup, presented by Republic Bank. LouCity Signs French Playmaker Huerman Through 2027

December 9, 2025 - Louisville City FC has signed forward Quenzi Huerman to a two-year contract through the 2027 season. The 24-year-old, entering his third year as a professional in 2026, spent the last two seasons with the Colorado Springs Switchbacks, where he won the USL Championship title in 2024. He scored four goals and tallied two assists over 47 appearances, including 22 starts, for the Switchbacks in regular season play. The deal is pending league and federation approval. December 9, 2025 - The United Soccer League announced Tuesday that Louisville City FC will field a USL League Two team starting with the 2026 season. Since its founding, LouCity's professional side has been one of the premier teams in the USL Championship, winning back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018 and most recently in 2025 setting the league record for points per game in a single season.
