BASEBALL Pioneer League: The independent Pioneer League announced the Grand Junction (CO) Jackalopes will be relocating to a yet-to-be-named market for the 2026 season due to poor attendance and ballpark lease issues. Grand Junction has hosted a Pioneer League team since the 2012 season. This week, the city of Modesto (CA) unanimously approved the addition of a Pioneer League team to the city-owned ballpark for 2026. New England Revolution Part Ways with Caleb Porter

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution parted ways with Head Coach Caleb Porter on Monday. Porter departs the Revolution after two seasons. Assistant Coach Pablo Moreira will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the season. "I am very grateful to Caleb Porter for the energy, effort, and dedication he has brought to the Revolution over the last two years," said Sporting Director Curt Onalfo. Parker Romo Makes Big Debut with Atlanta

Just six days after arriving for a tryout and being signed to the practice squad, John Parker Romo found himself at the center of the action-and the scoreboard-for the Atlanta Falcons. Elevated to the active roster before Sunday's game, he drilled five field goals, including a booming 54-yarder, to help lift the team to their first win of the season, a 22-6 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. ATHENS, GA - The Athens Rock Lobsters are heartbroken to share the tragic news that former forward Orca Wiesblatt has passed away following a traffic accident in British Columbia early Sunday morning, September 14.
