Boomers Equal Strikeout Record in Home Opening Victory
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - The pitching staff of the Schaumburg Boomers matched a team record by recording 19 strikeouts as the club opened the home portion of the schedule with a 4-1 victory over Trois-Rivieres on Monday night.
The Boomers wasted no time in taking the lead. Alec Craig and Christian Fedko opened the bottom of the first with singles. Kellum Clark put the Boomers ahead with an opposite field two-run double. Allison's Three Point Night Helps Mariners Win Game 3
PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Mariners, proud affiliates of the NHL's Boston Bruins and AHL's Providence Bruins, defeated the Wheeling Nailers 6-3 on Monday night at the Cross Insurance Arena in Game 3 of the North Division Finals, behind Ben Allison's three-point playoff debut. The Mariners now trail the best-of-seven series, two games to one.

Cleveland Guardians Shawn Armstrong to Rehab Tuesday at 7 17 Credit Union Park
(AKRON, OHIO) - Cleveland Guardians reliever Shawn Armstrong is scheduled to pitch in a rehab assignment with the Akron RubberDucks on Tuesday, May 12 at 6:35 p.m. against the Chesapeake Baysox at 7 17 Credit Union Park.
Armstrong is making his first rehab appearance since being placed on the 15-day injured list on April 23 with a right groin strain.
Prior to being placed on the injured list, Armstrong appeared in 12 games for the Guardians going 1-0 with a 4.22 ERA and 13 strikeouts over 10.2 innings pitched.
