Scott Savage Returns to Maine

October 19, 2020 - PORTLAND, ME - The Mariners have signed defenseman Scott Savage to a contract for 2020-21, the team announced on Monday. Savage has been a part of each of the first two Mariners seasons, serving as an alternate captain. Last season, he was under contract with the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals. October 13, 2020 - PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Mariners are now accepting nominations for the second annual "Captain Joel Barnes Community Service Award." The award was created last fall and presented on the one year anniversary of the tragic death of local fire captain Joel Barnes, of Berwick. Hampden firefighter Matthew St. Pierre was named the first recipient of the award last March. ECHL Confirms Start Date for 2020-21 Season

October 9, 2020 - PORTLAND, ME - The ECHL, in conjunction with the Professional Hockey Players' Association, announced today that the 2020-21 Season will commence on December 11, 2020 under a split-season format. Under the split-season guidelines, the following teams will begin a 72-game season on December 11 - Allen, Florida, Greenville, Indy, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Orlando, Rapid City, South Carolina, Tulsa, Utah, Wheeling and Wichita. Mariners Re-Sign Defenseman Dallas Rossiter

October 5, 2020 - PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Mariners have signed defenseman Dallas Rossiter to a contract for the 2020-21 season. Rossiter was in training camp with the Mariners in 2019-20, and played eight games with Maine over the final month of the season. He was one of six players issued a qualifying offer on June 30th.
