Mariners Reveal Mascot

August 15, 2018 - PORTLAND, ME - In an exclusive reveal with NewsCenter Maine on "The Morning Report" Wednesday morning, the Maine Mariners revealed "Beacon" as the team's mascot. Beacon is an Atlantic puffin, a species that makes its home in Maine in numbers of more than 4,000 each summer, according to VisitMaine.com. Two More Forwards in Mariners Mix Including Durham, NH Native

August 10, 2018 - PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Mariners added two more forwards to the mix for their inaugural season on Friday, announcing the signing of Ken Neil and inviting Durham, New Hampshire native Evan Schultz to a tryout. Both players spent the 2017-18 in the SPHL. Ken Neil (5'8, 150) is a forward from Clarenville, Newfoundland, who has spent parts of the last two seasons with the Pensacola Ice Flyers (SPHL). Mariners Find Their Home in Redbank Village

August 3, 2018 - PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Mariners and Redbank Village Apartments announced a partnership on Friday making Redbank Village "The Official Home of the Mariners" for their inaugural season. The Premier Partnership gives Mariners players housing in the South Portland based village, located just five miles from Cross Insurance Arena. July 24, 2018 - PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Mariners continue to add to their roster for 2018-19, announcing the signings of four more players on Tuesday. Forwards Jesse Schwartz and Dwyer Tschantz have agreed to deals, along with defensemen Mitch Jones and Garrett Cecere. Jesse Schwartz (6'0, 194) just finished his college career at the University of Connecticut, where he scored ten goals and added five assists in his Senior season.
