May 3, 2026 - Bridgewater, NJ - The Portland Sea Dogs (13-14) recorded their highest scoring output of the season, as they took the series finale against the Somerset Patriots (12-15) 11-4 on Sunday afternoon. Caden Rose had a breakout day, going three-for-four from the plate with two doubles, an infield single, a walk, and two runs. Nelly Taylor hit his first home run of the season and Johanfran Garcia hit his third home run of the season, with all three coming in this series against the Patriots. May 3, 2026 - PLAYER OF THE MONTH Franklin Arias was named the Sea Dogs' Player of the Month for April. Throughout the month, Arias batted .375 with 27 hits and 20 RBIs. He launched eight home runs, three of which tied or won a game in the ninth inning. Since at least 2005, Arias' .375 batting average is second only to 2014 Mookie Betts' .430 average among Sea Dogs with 20 or more games played in April. Sea Dogs Shut out 11-0 in Somerset

May 2, 2026 - Bridgewater, NJ - The Portland Sea Dogs (12-14) were shut out by the Somerset Patriots (12-14) 11-0 on Saturday evening. Franklin Arias and Brooks Brannon both doubled but were stranded on second base. In total, the Sea Dogs recorded five hits, but only two of those occurred in the same inning. The Sea Dogs threatened in the top of the first inning as Nate Baez reached on a fielder's choice. Baez tried to make it home on Brooks Brannon's double, but was thrown out at the plate. May 2, 2026 - MR. CLUTCH Franklin Arias hit his eighth home run of the season Thursday night, tying his total from the entirety of last season in just 20 games (versus last year's 116 games). His two-run shot tied the game 6-6 in the top of the ninth inning, marking the third time in the last week that Arias hit a game-tying or game-winning home run in the ninth inning.
