Maine Mariners News Release
PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Mariners, proud affiliates of the NHL's Boston Bruins and AHL's Providence Bruins, have added forward Josh Bloom, who was assigned from Providence on Thursday.
A 23-year-old forward from Oakville, ON, Bloom signed with the P-Bruins in late August. He split the 2025-26 campaign between the AHL and ECHL, spending time with the Abbotsford Canucks, Bakersfield Condors, Kalamazoo Wings, and Fort Wayne Komets. In 30 ECHL games last season, Bloom posted 37 points (18 goals, 19 assists), following up on a 20-goal season with Kalamazoo in 2024-25.
Bloom was a third-round draft pick of the Buffalo Sabres in 2021, going 95th overall in the NHL Entry Draft. He's skated in 38 career AHL games and 81 in the ECHL over his four professional seasons. Prior to turning pro, Bloom spent four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, including serving as captain of the Saginaw Spirit in 2022-23.

The Home Opener, presented by Evergreen Credit Union is one week later on Saturday, October 24th, a 1 PM puck drop against the Railers, followed by a Hockey Family Funday against the Railers on Sunday, October 25th at 3 PM.
