Frederick, MD- The Frederick Keys began their six-game homestand in style with a victory Friday night over the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, winning the contest 6-2 at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium. The Keys used a four-run bottom of the seventh to pull away from the Scrappers, as Frederick earned their first home win of the second half heading into game two Saturday night in the Key City. FLORENCE, KY - The Florence Y'alls (30-34), presented by Towne Properties, earned their fourth win in a row with a 5-3 takedown of the Sussex County Miners (23-40) on Firework Friday, also Christmas in July night. Mets Shut Out Cardinals 4-0 On Malmo Oat Milkers Night

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - The St. Lucie Mets, playing as MiLB's 121st team the Malmo Oat Milkers, pitched a three-hit shutout in a 4-0 victory over the Palm Beach Cardinals on Friday night at Clover Park. The Mets snapped a six-game losing streak. Five pitchers chipped in for the second home shutout of the season. Starter Jorge De Leon touched 97 mph over 1.2 innings.
