Timberwolves to Bring Jr. NBA Global Championship Qualifiers to 5 Cities

February 4, 2019 - Minneapolis-St. Paul - The Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx Basketball Academy today announced it will host the True North Qualifiers, a series of five local qualifying competitions across the Upper Midwest for a chance to reach the Jr. NBA Global Championship, a youth basketball tournament for the top 13- and 14-year-old boys and girls teams from around the world. April 12, 2018 - MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx tonight acquired the draft rights to forward Jill Barta, the 32nd selection in this year's draft and a 2019 WNBA Draft second round pick from the Las Vegas Aces, in exchange for the draft rights to center Ji-Su Park, the No. 17 overall pick in this year's draft, and guard Kahlia Lawrence, the No. 24 overall selection. Lynx Select Ji-Su Park with the 17th Overall Pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft

April 12, 2018 - MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx tonight selected Ji-Su Park from South Korea with the 17th overall pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft. Park, a 6-5 center, finished her second season with the Korean club team KB Stars in March, averaging a double-double of 14.2 ppg (48.8%) and 12.9 rpg along with 3.2 apg and 1.3 spg. She has also played on the Korean national team, most recently in July of 2017 in the FIBA Women's Asia Cup as Korea fell to China in the third-place game.
