BASEBALL Pioneer League: The independent Pioneer League announced the Grand Junction (CO) Jackalopes will be relocating to a yet-to-be-named market for the 2026 season due to poor attendance and ballpark lease issues. Grand Junction has hosted a Pioneer League team since the 2012 season. This week, the city of Modesto (CA) unanimously approved the addition of a Pioneer League team to the city-owned ballpark for 2026. Oakland Advances to Championship Behind 1-0 Shutout

OAKLAND, Calif. - On Sept. 13, 2024, the Yolo High Wheelers defeated the Oakland Ballers in the third and final game of their first-round playoff series, ending Oakland's inaugural season. Exactly one year later, the Ballers broke the curse. They went to three games in the first round once again, but took down the Ogden Raptors in game three Saturday, 1-0. Walk-Off Moves Lynchburg One Win from Title

Lynchburg moved one win away from the Carolina League crown with a 6-5 extra-innings (10) walk-off victory over the Columbia Fireflies in game one of the Carolina League Championship series. Despite leading from the first inning on, Lynchburg blew it with two outs in the ninth, leading to extra innings. Despite a slow start to the postseason, Aaron Walton delivered a blast to deep center which dropped for the walk-off double. The Hillcats struck first in the first inning courtesy of Dean Curley. Racing at Seattle Abandoned; an Update on Savannah DeMelo

Sunday's Racing Louisville FC game at Seattle Reign FC was been abandoned following a medical emergency involving Racing midfielder Savannah DeMelo toward the end of the first half. DeMelo, who received immediate on-field care from medical personnel, was stable and alert after the incident. She was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
