The Dock Spiders won both games over La Crosse, finishing with a 13-7 victory on Friday. The win moved the Dock Spiders to 21-34 on the season and 8-14 in the second half. The Rox have won 10 consecutive games, including eight in a row at home, and remain atop the second-half Great Plains West standings with a 17-6 second-half record. Big Inning Lifts Mudcats Past Red Sox

CarL Carolina Mudcats SALEM, V.A. - The Carolina Mudcats used a big sixth inning to race past the Salem Red Sox 9-3 on Friday night at Carillion Clinic Field. Carolina (55-37 overall, 14-13 second half) trailed 3-2 entering the sixth but broke the game open scoring five times in the inning.
