Snelling Becomes Fifth Jacksonville Alumnus to Make MLB Debut in Six Days

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Former Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp left-handed pitcher Robby Snelling became the fifth Jacksonville alumnus in six days to make his major league debut when he did so on Friday for the Miami Marlins against the Washington Nationals at loanDepot park. Snelling started for Miami, working 5.0 innings. He yielded three runs on five hits with two strikeouts against four walks in the Marlins' 3-2 loss to the Nationals. Caleb Roberts' Contract Purchased by Minnesota Twins

(Central Islip, N.Y.) - The Long Island Ducks today announced the contract of outfielder/catcher Caleb Roberts has been purchased by the Minnesota Twins organization. He will report to the team's Double-A affiliate in Wichita, Kan. "Caleb has had a magnificent start to the season, and we are happy to see him receive this opportunity," said Ducks Manager Lew Ford. Heston Kjerstad to Begin MLB Rehab Assignment with Baysox

Bowie, MD - In conjunction with the Baltimore Orioles, the Chesapeake Baysox announced today that Orioles outfielder Heston Kjerstad is scheduled to begin an MLB Rehab Assignment with Double-A Chesapeake. Kjerstad begins his rehab assignment with Chesapeake following a right hamstring injury back in March. Kjerstad notched a pair of doubles and two homers in 13 Grapefruit League contests this spring prior to the injury. Kjerstad was drafted no. 2 overall by the Orioles in 2020 out of Arkansas.
