Bulls off the Schneid with Season's First Victory
Durham, NC - Jesse Scholtens threw two-hit ball over five innings while Dom Keegan
homered and drove in two as the Durham Bulls won their first game of the season 5-1 over
the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Wednesday night at the DBAP.
Scholtens (W, 1-0) was sharp throughout his 60-pitch effort. Scholtens fanned four, walking
none and did not reach a three-ball count in the outing.

Newcomer Fairchild Homers Twice as Clippers Win
COLUMBUS, OH - The 1st of April saw the Columbus Clippers pick up their fourth straight victory, and second in a row against visiting Indianapolis, winning 6-1 on Wednesday night. The game started a little late due to rain, but the fans who stuck around got another chance to do the new winning celebration, the Clipp Clap.
Starting pitcher Trenton Denholm (1-0) was masterful over 6.0 innings, allowing just one run on two hits while striking out eight to earn his first career win at the Triple-A level. On the evening, Clippers pitching surrendered just three hits.

Walleye Come Away with 5-4 Overtime Victory in Indy to Finish Season Series Strong
Fishers, IN - The Toledo Walleye got their revenge against the Indy Fuel with a 5-4 overtime victory at Fishers Event Center tonight. Tanner Dickinson recorded the overtime winner, Dylan Moulton scored in the third period to tie the hockey game, Tanner Kelly had three assists on the night, Reilly Funk had two assists on the night, Mitch Lewandowski had a goal and an assist, and Cam Hausinger and Brendon Michaelian each scored.

Checkers Win Third Straight, Beat Americans 5-3
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Sandis Vilmanis posted a three-point game as the Charlotte Checkers (40-21-5-0) disposed of the Rochester Americans (28-26-5-4) by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday night at Blue Cross Arena.
Jack Studnicka wasted no time, scoring 28 seconds into the opening period, notching his ninth goal of the season. Studnicka was sent in alone down the slot by Sandis Vilmanis following a clear by Wilmer Skoog.
Ludvig Jansson doubled the score at 11:07, wristing a shot past Americans goaltender Devon Levi on a Checkers power play. Vilmanis and Skoog recorded assists on Jansson's goal.
