GRAND CHUTE, Wisc. - After trailing 3-1 in the ninth inning, the TinCaps scored two runs to tie it and take the game to extra innings. In the 10th, Fort Wayne pushed across one more to take its only lead of the game and win 4-3 on Friday night at Neuroscience Group Field. Altoona, Pennsylvania - The Portland Sea Dogs (26-23) take down the Altoona Curve (16-33) 8-6 in ten-inning victory on Friday night. Hunter Dobbins dominated with a season-high 7.0 scoreless innings to start. He did not allow a base runner in scoring position while allowing just three hits total and tying a season-high with eight strikeouts. Hot Bats Power Red Wings over Saints on Friday
The Red Wings picked up their second-straight win over St. Paul Friday night, 8-2. Four Red Wings turned in multi-hit games, led by 2B Darren Baker and C Drew Millas, with two apiece at the top of the lineups. In relief, LHP Joe La Sorsa, RHP Adonis Medina, and RHP Luis Reyes all logged scoreless outings to close out the game for Rochester. The Lynchburg Hillcats rebounded after their extra innings loss to knock off the Salem Red Sox 11-1 on Friday night. Wuilfredo Antunez would set the seasons single-game high with five RBI's as he finished a double shy of the cycle. Rorik Maltrud would also piece together a solid start with a five inning, three hit performance. Antunez would smack the first of his three hits in the first inning as he picked up a two-run home run for his second of the year, putting Lynchburg in front early on.
