American Association: The independent American Association, which is a partner league with Major League Baseball, started its 2024 season this week with the same 12 teams as last season. The teams are again aligned in the same six-team East and West divisions. Each team will play a 100-game schedule through September 2, 2024.

Dogs Sweep Opening Weekend
The Chicago Dogs performed a three-game sweep after taking down the Gary SouthShore Railcats in the series finale 8-5. Chicago found an early lead after cleanup hitter Narciso Crook smashed his first home run ball of the season. The long ball became a trend for Crook, who hit his second home run of the game in the fourth inning. Admirals Top Texas to Advance to Division Finals
Milwaukee, WI - Zach L'Heureux scored twice in the first minute of the game to stake the Admirals to an early lead as they went on to defeat the Texas Stars 5-3 in the decisive game five of their playoff series and advance to the Central Division Finals. The victory marks the first time in team history that the Admirals have overcome a 0-2 series deficit to comeback and win and it improved Head Coach Karl Taylor's remarkable record in elimination games to 11-3 since he took over in 2018-19. Brahmas Walk-Off Roughnecks in 15-12 Victory
HOUSTON, Texas - San Antonio kicker Ryan Santoso nailed a season-long 51-yard field goal as time expired and the Brahmas (5-2) overcame four turnovers to defeat the Houston Roughnecks (1-6) in a nail-biter, 15-12, at Rice Stadium Sunday afternoon. Trailing 12-3 with less than three minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Brahmas scored the game's only touchdown with a John Lovett one-yard rushing touchdown.
