Marlies Open 3-In-3 Tonight in Syracuse

January 3, 2020 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Toronto Marlies News Release

The Toronto Marlies and Syracuse Crunch are set to meet for just the second time this season, kicking off 2020 with a North Division matchup.

In their previous meeting back in October, the Crunch edged the Marlies in a 4-3 overtime decision to take a 1-0 lead in the regular season series. Heading into the holiday break, the Crunch had dropped four of their previous five contests and will be looking to snap a three-game losing skid tonight on home ice. Syracuse is currently in sixth place in the North Division and 12th in the Eastern Conference with 35 points.

The Marlies are also looking to get back in the win column after closing out 2019 with back-to-back losses. They have another busy weekend ahead as tonight's contest opens another 3-in-3 weekend for the Marlies as they host the division-leading Rochester Americans tomorrow, and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Sunday. Toronto sits in third place in the North Division and fifth in the Eastern Conference with 41 points.

Puck drops at 7:00 PM on AHLTV. Fans can also follow along on Twitter (@TorontoMarlies) for live game updates.
