Wolves' Elvenes Earns All-Star Nod

GLENVIEW, Illinois - The American Hockey League announced Friday that Chicago Wolves forward Lucas Elvenes has been selected to participate in the 2020 AHL All-Star Classic on Jan. 26-27 in Ontario, California.

Elvenes, a 20-year-old rookie from Angelholm, Sweden, will represent the Western Conference during the All-Star Skills Competition Jan. 26 and compete for the Central Division All-Stars during the 3-on-3 round-robin tournament Jan. 27.

Elvenes leads all AHL rookies in scoring with 31 points (7G, 24A) in 36 games. Among all skaters, Elvenes shares eighth place in scoring and fourth in assists.

In October, Elvenes earned the AHL Rookie of the Month Award after piling up four goals and 11 assists in 10 games.

Joining Elvenes on the Central Division squad are Grand Rapids' Matthew Ford and Chris Terry, Iowa's Gerald Mayhew and Brennan Menell, Manitoba's Jansen Harkins, Milwaukee's Alexandre Carrier, Connor Ingram and Yakov Trenin, Rockford's Kevin Lankinen, San Antonio's Derrick Pouliot and Texas' Joel L'Esperance.

Several former Wolves also earned All-Star nods: Colorado center T.J. Tynan, Toronto goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton forward Andrew Agozzino.
