Kyle Mahew Named 2024-25 Midseason All-Star

January 22, 2025 - ECHL (ECHL)
Fort Wayne Komets News Release

The ECHL on Wednesday announced the Eastern Conference and Western Conference rosters for the 2024-25 Midseason All-Star Team. Defenseman Kyle Mayhew was selected to be the representative from the Fort Wayne Komets, marking his second straight season as an ECHL All-Star.

Last season, Mayhew appeared in the 2023-2024 ECHL All-Star game and was named to the league's All-Rookie Team after a 57-point (15g, 42a) season with the Utah Grizzlies. He was signed by the Komets in the offseason and picked up exactly where he left off from his stellar rookie campaign. Mayhew is currently third in the league in defensive scoring, with 6 goals and 27 assists in 36 games at the season's halfway point.

As a part of the All-Star selection, DASH - the Official Mobile Auction Platform of the ECHL - will auction off each player's jersey. The auction is now live and will run through Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. ET.

The roster for the ECHL All-Stars was determined in a vote of coaches, team captains, media relations directors and broadcasters. The coaches were determined by the team with the highest points percentage in each conference through games of Jan. 5, 2025.
