July 23, 2024 - Fort Wayne, IN - The Fort Wayne Komets announced today that 2023-2024 ECHL All-Star and Fort Wayne native, forward Alex Aleardi, has agreed to terms for next season. Defenseman Ethan Ritchie has also signed for the upcoming season. The Komet roster now sits at 17 players. Aleardi, 31, returns to his hometown after playing the last two seasons with the Rapid City Rush. Last season, the 5'9 forward broke the team's record for points in an ECHL season with 79 (31g, 48a). July 16, 2024 - Fort Wayne, IN - The Fort Wayne Komets announced today that ECHL All-Star defenseman Kyle Mayhew has agreed to terms for next season. Defenseman Cameron Supryka has re-signed for his second season at the Komet blue line, and forward Tristen Trudel has agreed to a tryout. Mayhew, 26, appeared in the ECHL All-Star game and was named to the league's All-Rookie Team after a 57-point (15g, 42a) season with the Utah Grizzlies last season. Kelly Cup Champ Anthony Petruzzelli Returns to Komets

July 12, 2024 - Fort Wayne, IN - The Komets announced today that veteran forward and Kelly Cup champion Anthony Petruzzelli has signed on for his seventh season in Fort Wayne. The team will also begin a new partnership with RemedyLIVE for Mental Health Awareness Nights. Petruzzelli, 31, started his career in Fort Wayne in 2018, skating in four regular season games and six playoff games, helping the Komets reach the Western Conference Final. July 10, 2024 - Fort Wayne, IN - The Komets announced today that forward Jack "the Flash" Gorniak has re-signed for a second season in Fort Wayne. The club also inked deals with rookie forwards Filip Fornåå Svensson and Nick Deakin-Poot. Gorniak, 24, skated in 65 games last season with the Komets and quickly became one the league's best penalty killers.
