Curtis Lazar Named to 2019 Lexus AHL All-Star Classic Presented by MGM Springfield

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Heat, proud AHL affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames, announced today in conjunction with the American Hockey League that forward Curtis Lazar has been named to the 2019 Lexus AHL All-Star Classic presented by MGM Springfield in Springfield, Massachusetts, which takes place on January 27 and 28.

"We are extremely proud of Curtis Lazar's play in Stockton this season and this honor is very well deserved," Heat General Manager, Brad Pascall said.

Lazar, 23, is second on the team in points with 25 points in 30 games, including 11 goals and 14 assists. The former first round pick leads the team in power play points with 12, multi-point games with eight and is tied for second on the team in both goals and assists.

Lazar joins Rasmus Andersson (2017-18), Andrew Mangiapane (2017-18), Mark Jankowski (2016-17) and Derek Grant (2015-16) as Heat All-Star selections during the Heat's first four seasons. Joining Lazar on the Pacific Division All-Star team will be Joe Gambardella (BAK), Andrew Agozzino (COL), Pavel Francouz (COL), Sheldon Rempal (ONT), Sean Walker (ONT), Troy Terry (SD), Josef Korenar (SJ), Jacob Middleton (SJ), Francis Perron (SJ), Kyle Capobianco (TUC) and Conor Garland (TUC). San Jose's Roy Sommer will serve as the Head Coach.

Stockton's five-game home stand continues as the team hosts the Tucson Roadrunners on Friday, January 4 at 7 PM and the Colorado Eagles on Saturday, January 5 at 6 PM.
