Giants Netminder Mirwald Named Giuseppe WHL Goaltender of the Week for 5th Time
March 18, 2024 - Calgary, Alta. - The Western Hockey League announced today Vancouver Giants netminder Brett Mirwald has been named Giuseppe WHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending March 17, 2024. This marks the fifth time Mirwald has earned the award this season. The 20-year-old led all WHL goaltenders with a 3-0-0-0 record, a 1.34 goals-against average and a .956 save percentage. Warriors Netminder Fortin Named Kal Tire WHL Rookie of the Week
March 18, 2024 - Calgary, Alta. - The Western Hockey League announced today that Dimitri Fortin of the Moose Jaw Warriors has been named Kal Tire WHL Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 17, 2024. The 17-year-old netminder posted a 2-0-0-0 record in two appearances with a 1.70 goals-against average and a .938 save percentage against provincial opponents.
