GREENVILLE, Sc. - The Atlanta Gladiators (16-9-2-0) fell behind 3-0 to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits (14-7-6-0) and could not find a response as they fell 5-1 Wednesday night at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.

First Star: Nikita Pavlychev (GVL) - 2 goals

Second Star: Anthony Beauchamp (GVL) - 1 goal, 1 assist

Third Star: Ryan Bednard (GVL) - 28 saves

Greenville opened the scoring early in the contest to make it 1-0 (14:05).

The Swamp Rabbits doubled their lead with just under five minutes remaining in the first period for a 2-0 mark (4:07).

Just before the midway point of the second period Greenville extended their lead to 3-0 (12:28).

Atlanta responded just thirty seconds after the Swamp Rabbits goal with a tally of their own (11:50). Bode Wilde ripped a long shot from the point with eyes to make it 3-1. The goal was Wilde's second of the season.

The Swamp Rabbits restored their three goal lead inside the final five minutes making it 4-1 (4:05).

Atlanta changed goaltenders to start the third period as David Tendeck replaced Tyler Parks after allowing four goals.

Greenville pushed their lead to 5-1 early in the third period (13:43).

Ryan Bednard made 28 saves on 29 shots in the win for Greenville, Tyler Parks stopped 18 shots in the loss for Atlanta.
