July 21, 2026 - CHICAGO - Chicago Stars FC forward Jordyn Huitema has been placed on the NWSL season-ending-injury list after suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her left leg. Huitema will undergo surgery and begin her recovery process. Huitema sustained the injury during the Chicago Stars' match against Angel City FC on July 18. July 18, 2026 - CHICAGO - Chicago Stars FC fell 2-0 to Angel City FC at Martin Stadium on Saturday evening. Match Notes: Mallory Swanson made her 100th regular season NWSL start against Angel City FC. Leila Ouahabi made her NWSL debut in her first match in a Stars jersey. Ouahabi was signed by Chicago on June 16 after winning the WSL and FA Cup titles with Manchester City. Chicago Stars FC Loans Defender Sam Angel to DC Power FC

July 18, 2026 - CHICAGO - Chicago Stars FC announced today that the club has loaned defender Sam Angel to DC Power FC in the USL Gainbridge Super League through December 31. Angel first joined Chicago in June 2025 after spending two seasons with IFK Norrköping in the Damallsvenskan, Sweden's top women's league. Angel signed a two-year contract with the Stars through 2027, with an option for 2028.
