Storm Signs Andre Payette

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the East Coast Hockey League today announced that the organization has signed left wing, Andre Payette. A tenth round pick of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1994 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Payette (6'2/205) (26) has accumulated 1050 regular penalty minutes in 257 regular season games over five years of pro hockey. Last season, Payette played a total of 54 games in the American Hockey League with the Manchester Monarchs, Houston Aeros, and St. John's Maple Leafs, scoring five goals and adding eight assists and 243 penalty minutes.

It is expected that Payette will be available to play for the Storm in this weekend's games against the Wheeling Nailers (Friday, @ Toledo Sports Arena, 7:30 p.m.) and Cincinnati Cyclones (Saturday @ Cincinnati, Ohio @ 7:00; and Sunday @ Toledo Sports Arena @ 3:00 p.m.).
