Condors Visit Mercy Southwest Hospital, Turkey Collection & Backpack Giveaway Saturday

Upcoming week of November 18th - November 24th:

· Monday, November 18th - Condors players Peter McRae and Denis Ladouceur will visit Fairview Elementary School located at 425 E. Fairview Road to award students for their academic achievements as part of the Condors Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge (THINK) program, sponsored by 101.5 KGFM, ARRC Technology, and Paramount Farms. The Condors will be at Fairview Elementary School from 1:15 pm - 2:15 pm.

· Tuesday, November 19th - Bakersfield Condors center Jason Jackman and defenseman Andre Allard will be at Mercy Southwest Hospital located at 400 Old River Road visiting children and signing autographs in the cafeteria from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm.

· Thursday, November 21st - Join the "Voice of the Condors", Kevin Bartl as he hosts the Condors Coach's Show on KGEO AM 1230 AM live from the Holiday Inn Select's Q Street Bistro from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Head Coach Paul Kelly and Condors players will be the guests on the show. The Holiday Inn Select is located at 801 Truxtun, on the corner of Q Street and Truxtun.

· Saturday, November 23rd - Bakersfield Condors own President & General Manager Matthew Riley, Director of Team Operations Deric Voelker, and Account Executive Jose Rivera, will be showing off their flag football skills in the "When Pigskins Fly" Flag Football Tournament presented by Optimal Hospice Foundation. The tournament takes place at Garces High School with the Condors taking the field at 9:00 am. Garces High School is located at 2800 Loma Linda Drive.

· Saturday, November 23rd - Join the Condors as they host the Long Beach Ice Dogs for KGET-TV 17 & Bakersfield Mitsubishi and Golden State Motors Backpack Giveaway. The first 2,000 children, 12 & under, will receive a Condors backpack. The night is also the first San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District's "Please Don't Light Tonight" game. If the Condors shut out their opponent (the opponent doesn't light the goal light) all fans in attendance will receive complimentary terrace admission to the next "Please Don't Light Tonight" game on December 3rd. Also, don't forget your turkey, as the Condors and KLLY 95.3 will be having a Turkey Shoot for the Bakersfield Homeless Shelter. Fans who bring a turkey to Centennial Garden will be registered to participate in the Turkey Shoot taking place during the first intermission. Five fans will be chosen to come on the ice during the first intermission to try bowling their turkey into the net from the blue line. First prize will be Condors Commemorative Thanksgiving Game Jersey, signed by Miles Standish, PLUS they will participate in the Human Slingshot during the first intermission. Single-game tickets are available through the Centennial Garden Box Office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location. Season tickets and group outings may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825), or by visiting the Condors office at Centennial Garden. The doors open at 6:00 pm with the puck drop at 7:00 pm.

Condors Dropping

· This month's website auction will feature the chance to have a sit down question and answer session with your favorite Condors player. A transcript of your Q & A session will be printed in the Condors Nightly Notes for one game, you'll receive two tickets to the selected game and an autographed Nightly Notes. Log onto www.bakersfieldcondors.com to place your bid. Proceeds go to benefit the American Red Cross – Kern County Chapter.

· Don't forget to sign your children up for the 2002-2003 Colonel Claw'd's Kids Club, sponsored by Time Warner Cable, The Bakersfield Californian, and John's Incredible Pizza Company. Your membership includes admission to six weekend Condors Games, a Condors Light Switch Cover, limited edition cap, membership card, and exclusive parties with players and mascots, all for just $15.00. · Pre-event collections have started for the Condors "Gotta Have Sole" Shoe Collection. Fans can take new or slightly used shoes to Tel-Tec Security Systems located at 5020 Lisa Marie Court and receive one free terrace ticket to the December 3rd game against the San Diego Gulls. Shoes will also be accepted at the Condors Closet located across the street from Centennial Garden at 1022 Truxtun, Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, and Saturdays from 11:00 am - 5:00pm.
