Everblades Acquire McMeekin From Trenton

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades Head Coach/Director of Player Personnel Gerry Fleming announced today that defenseman Brian McMeekin has been acquired by the Everblades from the Trenton Titans (ECHL) for cash.

The Rossland, British Columbia native played four years of collegiate hockey at Cornell University (NCAA) and registered 3 goals and 9 assists including 84 penalty minutes in 103 career games. He is in his first professional season and saw action in 13 contests with Trenton so far this season and has registered 9 penalty minutes. McMeekin will join the team on the road on Thursday.

The Everblades hit the road to take on the Columbus Cottonmouths on Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Florida then travels to Greenville on Thursday, Charlotte on Friday and Greensboro on Saturday. All 72 regular season games can be heard on Sportsradio 770 AM and NewsRadio 1660 AM with the "Voice of the Everblades" Mark Miller calling the play by play.
