The Inferno look to even the series at one game a piece. Columbia lost 5-2 in their first meeting on October 12th.

LAST WEEK

Friday, November 15th COLUMBIA 7 Charlotte 1

Rejean Stringer, Mike Legg and Tim Smith each had two goals to lead the Inferno past the Charlotte Checkers 7-1. The Inferno league leading penalty kill smothered all five penalty kills to extend their lead. Goaltenders Patrick Couture and Kevin Swanson, who filled in after Couture's injury, stopped 30 of 31 shots.

Saturday, November 16th COLUMBIA 5 South Carolina 3

The South Carolina Stingrays took an early lead when Adam Calder scored only 2:38 into the first period but that didn't stop the Inferno. Corey Hessler, Barrie Moore and Eric Adams each had a goal and an assist. Justin Morrison scored twice as the Inferno as they notched their first win against the Stingrays 5-3. Kevin Swanson stopped 25 shots to earn his first victory of the year.

Mike Legg, Tim Smith, Rejean Stringer and Justin Morrison each have four points in their last two games...Matt Ulwelling had three assists against the Checkers...Goaltender Kevin Swanson recorded his first win against the South Carolina Stingrays...Corey Hessler has three points in his last two games, including two power play goals...Columbia's penalty killing is still ranked number one at 94.5% in the league...Rejean Stringer is tied in the ECHL for the lead with 26 points...Justin Morrison is ranked second in the league with 24 points.
