Fresno Falcons News Release
FRESNO, Calif. â The Taylor Cup Champion Fresno Falcons will welcome another champion to Selland Arena tomorrow night as they battle the San Diego Gulls at 7 p.m. Hector Camacho Jr., the current USBO Super Lightweight Champion and son of Hector "Macho" Camacho, will attend the hockey game and be introduced on the ice prior to the opening face-off.
Camacho Jr. has a professional record of 34-1 with 19 KO's. He will face Freddy Ladd on Friday, Nov. 22, at The Palace Indian Gaming Center.
A production crew from Fox Sports Net Bay Area will also be in attendance at tomorrow night's game to produce a feature story on the Falcons. The story will air on "Shark Byte," a sports magazine show devoted to the San Jose Sharks. The story will focus on how minor league hockey is flourishing here in Fresno and how players keep alive their hopes of one day reaching the NHL. This particular episode featuring the Falcons will debut on Thanksgiving night, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m. Fox Sports Net Bay Area is carried on AT&T Broadband channel 37.
Tomorrow night's game is a Carl's Jr. Two for Tuesday, with free 2-for-1 coupons available at area Carl's Jr. restaurants. Tickets are still available at the Selland Arena box office and all Ticketmaster locations.
