Wolves Captain Max Lajoie Earns AHL All-Star Nod

The American Hockey League announced Wednesday that Chicago Wolves captain Max Lajoie has been selected to participate in the 2023 AHL All-Star Classic to be held Feb. 5-6 at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec.

Named the 14th captain in franchise history on Nov. 8, Lajoie has a goal and 11 assists in 29 games in his third season with the defending Calder Cup champion Wolves. The 25-year-old from Quebec City, Quebec, has also appeared in three games with the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes during the 2022-23 campaign.

The 2023 AHL All-Star Classic will include the AHL All-Stars Skills Competition on Sunday, Feb. 5, followed by the AHL Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Ceremony on Monday, Feb. 6 and the AHL All-Star Challenge later that evening.

Joining Lajoie on the Central Division squad are Grand Rapids' Brian Lashoff, Iowa's Sammy Walker and Jesper Wallstedt, Manitoba's Declan Chisholm, Milwaukee's Yaroslav Askarov and Tommy Novak, Rockford's David Gust, Lukas Reichel and Brett Seney and Texas' Riley Barber and Thomas Harley.
