This is the seventh meeting of the season between these two teams. The Stingrays have a record of 6-0 against the Cottonmouths this year. Columbus is 0-2-4 against the Rays. Five of the six games between the two teams have been decided by one goal. Columbus is 3-5-2 in its last ten games.

The Pride has fallen into third place in the Southeast Division. This game will mark the seventh time that these two teams will play. The Rays are 4-1-1 against Pee Dee this year.

Greenville Friday, February 14, 2003 7:30 North Charleston Coliseum

This is the seventh game of the season between these two teams. The Stingrays have a record of 4-2 against the Grrrowl after a win in Greenville on Friday. Greenville trails South Carolina by 13 points for fourth in the Southeast.

This is the fourth meeting of the season between these two teams. The Stingrays have a 2-1 record against the Checkers this year. The Stingrays have a record of 4-6-2 against the Northern Conference this season.

Last Week in Review:

South Carolina wrapped up a seven game road trip with a loss in Florida to the Everblades by a score of 5-2 and a win on Friday in Greenville,3-2. The Rays finished the trip with a mark of 4-2-1. The team returned home to drop a pair of decisions 5-2 at the hands of the Roanoke Express and 2-1 to the Columbia Inferno.

Team Notes:

The Stingrays have a road record of 14-9-3 and a home record of 12-10-1. The team has dropped two straight home games. The Rays have a record of 5-4-1 in their last ten games. The team had is first capacity crowd in over three seasons on Saturday night when it welcomed 10,529 to the Coliseum. The Stingrays attendance is up this year from last years average. If this pattern holds, it will mark the first time in franchise history that attendance will increase. The Stingrays are ranked sixth in the ECHL on the power play with a mark of 21.6%. On the penalty kill the team is ranked 15th at 81.7%.

Players:

Curtis Huppe saw a three game goal-scoring streak snapped on Sunday. He has 19 goals this season, which places him second on the team along with Adam Calder. Mike Jickling leads the team in goals with 22. 11 of Jickling's 22 goals have come on the power play. Robin Gomez scored his seventh goal of the season on Saturday, the rookie second on the team in penalty minutes with 160. Kirk Daubenspeck leads the ECHL in wins with 24.
