Trenton's Allen Named ECHL Goalie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Trenton's Andrew Allen is the East Coast Hockey League Goalie of the Week for February 3-9 after posting back-to-back shutouts in his first two starts for the Titans.

Making his first appearance since being acquired by Trenton from Dayton, the 26-year-old Allen made 14 saves in regulation and did not face a shot in overtime as the Titans beat Toledo 1-0 on Wednesday.

The 6-4 and 210-pound Allen came back on Friday and made 29 saves in a 5-0 win at Charlotte improving to 2-0-0 with a 0.00 goals against average and a 1.000 save percentage in two starts for Trenton.

Allen was 5-9-3 with a shutout, a 3.48 goals against average and a .882 save percentage in 19 games for Dayton.

The back-to-back shutouts move him into a tie for the ECHL lead with three shutouts while improving his record to 7-9-3 and lowering his goals against average to 3.12 and raising his save percentage to .892.
