Condors Jump Rope for Heart, Visit Children's Shelter

Upcoming week of February 10th - February 16th:

· Wednesday, February 12th - Join the Condors as they host the San Diego Gulls for WB 12 and KISS 96.5 Student ID Discount Night. All college, high school, and Jr. high school students can receive admission for just $1.00 by presenting their student ID. The night is also a San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District "Please Don't Light Tonight" game. If the Condors shut out their opponent, all fans in attendance will receive a complimentary terrace level ticket to the March 9th game. Single-game tickets are available through the Centennial Garden Box Office, open 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location. Group outings may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825), or by visiting the Condors office at Centennial Garden. The doors open at 6:00 pm and the puck drops at 7:00 pm.

· Thursday, February 13th - The Bakersfield Condors will be visiting the Jamison Center's Shelter for Abused Children today starting at 3:00 pm. Condors players Quinn Fair and Wes Swinson will be addressing children on drug awareness, importance of education, and giving them a little background on themselves and hockey in general. The Condors will also be handing out team photos as well as signing autographs for the children. The Jamison Center is located at 1010 Shalimar Drive

· Thursday, February 13th - Join the "Voice of the Condors", Kevin Bartl, as he hosts the Condors Coach's Show on KGEO AM 1230 live from the Holiday Inn Select's Q Street Bistro from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Head Coach Paul Kelly and featured Condors guests will be the on the show. The Holiday Inn Select is located at 801 Truxtun, on the corner of Q Street and Truxtun.

· Friday, February 14th - Join Condors player Christoffer Norgren, Condors Legend Glen Mears and Condors staff as the Bakersfield Condors take part in the annual Jump Rope for Heart at Franklin School. Over 300 Franklin School children who are raising money for the American Heart Association will join the Condors. The event gets started at 2:00 pm and will last as long as everyone's legs can hold up. Jump Rope for Heart is an annual event at Franklin School. Franklin School is located at 2400 Truxtun Avenue.

Week in Review, February 3rd - February 9th:

· Saturday, February 8th - The Bakersfield Condors were awarded the Community Service Award at the annual Kern County Hispanic Chamber Installation and Award Dinner.

· Sunday, February 9th - The Condors hosted the Long Beach Ice Dogs for The Bakersfield Californian, Real Rock 104.3, and Coleman Homes Cheer Sign Giveaway Night. Everyone in attendance received a Condors cheer sign. Real Rock 104.3 also hosted Help For The Homeless drive with the proceeds going to the Kern County Food Bank. Fans that donated two cans of food received one free terrace ticket to the game. Over 500 pounds of canned goods were donated.

Condors Droppings:

· The second session for "Ladies Night at Condors University" is scheduled for Thursday, February 20th. Ladies will get the chance to take to the ice and try their luck at scoring a goal, get a tour of the locker room, and try on a set of equipment as well as meet their favorite Condors players. The evening will begin at 6:00 pm and conclude with a meal at 7:30 pm. All participants receive an executive level ticket to the Sunday, March 9th game, all for just $45.00. Sign ups are available at all Condors home games, the Condors Closet Retail Outlet at 1022 Truxtun Avenue across from Centennial Garden, or at the Condors office located at 1001 Truxtun Avenue.

· Mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 4th, which is KUZZ 107.9 Blood Drive Night. Fans can receive one free terrace ticket with the donation of a pint of blood to the Houchin Blood Bank. Donations will be accepted at both Houchin Blood Bank locations, 5901 Truxtun Avenue or 2600 G Street. For more information about donation locations, as well as the Houchin Blood Mobile call 323-4222.

· The Condors monthly Internet auction features Dinner with Two Condors Players!
