Defenseman D.J. King Signs PTO with Iowa Wild

January 7, 2026 - NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliates of the NHL's Washington Capitals and AHL's Hershey Bears, have announced that defenseman D.J. King has signed a professional tryout contract (PTO) with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League. King, 25, has skated in 25 games this season with the Stingrays, tallying a goal and assist in his first season with South Carolina. January 7, 2026 - NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliates of the NHL's Washington Capitals and AHL's Hershey Bears, are pleased to announce that forward Kyler Kupka has been selected as an ECHL All-Star for the 2026 Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic, presented by Visit Allen & Allen CDC. January 4, 2026 - NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - In a game that featured 173 penalty minutes and a goalie fight, the South Carolina Stingrays finished off a season-series sweep over the Greensboro Gargoyles with a 4-2 victory on Sunday afternoon at the North Charleston Coliseum in front of 5,367 fans.
