First game of the season between these two teams. Both the Checkers and the Stingrays have lost their last two games. Charlotte is in last place in the Northeast Division. First of two games this week between the two teams.

Columbia Friday, November 8 7:30 North Charleston Coliseum
First game of the season between two Southeast Division rivals. The Stingrays have a record of 5-2 against the Southeast. Columbia had a record of 5-2-1 against South Carolina last season. The Inferno is in second place in the Southeast Division.

Charlotte Saturday, November 9 7:30 North Charleston Coliseum
Second game of the week between these two teams. The Stingrays have an all time record of 37-22-6 against the Checkers. Don MacAdam is in his third full season behind the bench for Charlotte. The Checkers are averaging 4.14 goals against per game.

@ Columbus Sunday, November 10 4:00 Columbus Civic Center
Second game this season between these two teams. The Rays beat the Cottonmouths 3-2 in a shootout in South Carolina's home opener. The Rays enter this week 2-0 on the road. Columbus is 4-1 at home and is one point behind the Rays in the Southeast.
Columbus: Record (5-3-1) Last Game: 4-3 win @ Louisiana
Last Week in Review:
The South Carolina Stingrays had a six game winning streak snapped at the hands of the Florida Everblades. Florida beat the Rays 3-1 on Friday and Saturday night, to hand the team its first two losses of the season. Robb Zepp won both games for the Everblades in goal, allowing just two goals against in two games. The Stingrays fell back into third place as Florida inched its way into fifth.
Daubenspeck Gets League Honors, Again:
South Carolina¹s Kirk Daubenspeck is the East Coast Hockey League's October Saver of the Month. Daubenspeck wrapped up November with a record of 6-0 and a goals against average of 2.72. He also had a save percentage of .913. He finished the month with the league lead in shootout wins with three and he was tied for the league lead in wins with six.
The Madison, Wis. native, earned ECHL Goaltender of the Week Honors last week.
Team Notes:
The Stingrays had trouble scoring goals this week. The Everblades held the Stingrays to just one goal in each of the losses this weekend. The Stingrays are now averaging 3.75 goals for per game, which has the team in seventh position in the league. The Rays find themselves in third place in the Southeast with four key games coming up this week. Both South Carolina goals this week came on the power play. The team still boasts the best power play in the ECHL at 28.6%. The Rays allowed one short-handed goal against in each of the two losses this week to the Everblades.
Players:
Kirk Daubenspeck dropped his first two decisions of the season. Rookie netminder Dean Weasler has yet to see time in the Stingrays net this year. Brad Williamson scored his first goal of the season in Friday's loss. Adam Calder's power play goal on Saturday gave him five on the season and tied him with Dave Seitz. Trevor Johnson leads the team in penalty minutes with 45. The Stingrays lost center Brett Marietti to a knee injury on Friday night. He was placed on the injured list today.
