Bakersfield Condors News Release
Upcoming week of November 4th - November 10th:
· Tuesday, November 5th - The Condors will hold a media roundtable at John's Incredible Pizza from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm. Condors Head Coach Paul Kelly, as well as Condors players, Shawn Byram, and Jon Sorg will be in attendance. John's Incredible Pizza is located at 3709 Rosedale Highway. Any media wishing to attend are asked to RSVP to Kevin Bartl at 324-PUCK (7825).
· Tuesday, November 5th - The Bakersfield Condors Adult League starts November 8th. The league runs from November â March and includes thirteen (13) games on the Garden ice, which will normally take place after 8:00 pm on weekday evenings. · Wednesday, November 6th - The Condors host the Long Beach Ice Dogs at 7:00 pm as KISS 96.5 sponsors College/High School ID Discount Night and the California Office of Traffic Safety and Hall Ambulance present the Condors Safety Fair. The night allows college or high school students the opportunity to purchase executive level tickets for just $1.00 with a valid student ID limit one ticket per ID. The California Office of Traffic Safety, Hall Ambulance, and other participating agencies will display and give lessons on various safety issues for the education of fans on the Centennial Plaza starting at 5:00 pm as a part of the Condors Safety Fair. Vince and Larry, the crash test dummies, will also be in attendance. Single-game tickets are available through the Centennial Garden Box Office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location. Season tickets and group outings may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825), or by visiting the Condors office at Centennial Garden.
· Thursday, November 7th - Condors players Shawn Byram and Christian Skoryna will visit Evergreen Elementary School located at 2600 Rose Marie Drive to award students for their academic achievements as part of the Condors Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge (THINK) program, sponsored by 101.5 KGFM, ARRC Technology, and Paramount Farms. The Condors will be at Evergreen Elementary School from 10:30 am - 11:30 am.
· Thursday, November 7th - Join the "Voice of the Condors", Kevin Bartl as he hosts the Condors Coach's Show on KGEO AM 1230 AM live from the Holiday Inn Select's Q Street Bistro from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Head Coach Paul Kelly and Condors winger, Jamie Cooke will be the guests on the show. The Holiday Inn Select is located at 801 Truxtun, on the corner of Q Street and Truxtun.
· Sunday, November 10th - Join the Condors as the Idaho Steelheads visit for KUZZ 107 Veterans Day Jersey Raffle & Auction Night. The day gets started at 3:00 pm outside of Centennial Garden on the plaza with the Pre-Game Fiesta, including bounce houses, a magician, a clown, and live music. The doors open at 4:00 pm and the puck drops at 5:00 pm as the Condors will honor America's Veterans with a special red, white and blue Veterans Day jersey, which will be auctioned off after the game with proceeds from the jersey auction going to the Petroleum Shrine Club. All fans have a chance to win a jersey, as five will be raffled off during the game. The United States Marine Corps, celebrating their 227th birthday Sunday, will be holding their annual Toys for Tots drive. Any fan who donates a new unwrapped toy will receive a free terrace level ticket. The evening is also the first Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge (THINK) night of the season. Over 1,800 students will be attending the game for free to reward them for their academic achievements as part of the Condors Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge (THINK) program, sponsored by 101.5 KGFM, ARRC Technology, and Paramount Farms.

· This month's website auction will feature the chance to have a sit down question and answer session with your favorite Condors player. A transcript of your Q & A session will be printed in the Condors Nightly Notes for one game, you'll receive two tickets to the selected game and an autographed Nightly Notes. Log onto www.bakersfieldcondors.com to place your bid. Proceeds go to benefit the American Red Cross â Kern County Chapter.
