Lexington, KY- The Men O' War traveled 2,218 miles this weekend posting a 1-2-0 record. The MOW started off the weekend with a win over Johnstown on Thursday night. On Friday, RW Van Burgess recorded his 500th career point in a 3-2 loss at Greensboro. On Saturday, the MOW traveled to Atlantic City to face the Boardwalk Bullies, falling 4-1.

Thursday, October 31st - Lexington 4, at Johnstown 3

Johnstown, PA- Lexington started off their road trip in grand fashion beating the Johnstown Chiefs 4-3. The win moved the MOW into third place in the ECHL's Northwest Division bypassing Johnstown in the standings. Mark Smith scored the game winner in the third as Lexington improved to 3-0-1 in their last four games. David Del Monte recorded the first shorthanded goal in Men O' War history during the 1st period. Dan Murphy assisted on the goal for his first point of the year.

Friday, November 1st – at Greensboro 3, Lexington 2

Greensboro, NC- The Greensboro Generals ended the Men O' War four-game unbeaten streak with a 3-2 win over Lexington. Vlad Serov's goal with 4:59 to go in the second period turned out to be the game winner as the Men O' War fell for the third time in three tries with the Generals. Greensboro's Daniel Berthiaume (3-0 vs. Lex.) continued his domination of Lexington with 31 saves in the win. Van Burgess and newcomer Mike Sgroi scored in the losing effort.

Saturday, November 2nd –at Atlantic City 4, Lexington 1

Atlantic City, NJ- The Lexington Men O‘ War wrapped up their three game in three-night road trip with a 4-1 loss in Atlantic City to the Boardwalk Bullies. Kevin Colley and J.F Caudron led the Bullies' offense with a combined five points on the night. Atlantic City took advantage of six power plays scoring on three of them. Matt Yeats stopped 24 of 25 Lexington shots in the win for the Bullies. Josh Mizerek scored the lone Lexington goal.

The Burgess 500

Van Burgess recorded his 500th career point on Friday night in Greensboro. Burgess scored his first goal of the season half way through the second period for his 500th point. The goal gave Burgess 217 career goals to go along with 283 assists.

Upcoming Games ......

The MOW have two Northwest Division games on the road before returning to Rupp Arena for a rematch with the Chiefs. The MOW kickoff the weekend in Cincinnati on Friday. The game vs. the Cyclones marks the first of five trips to Cincinnati this season for Lexington. On Saturday, the MOW head to Toledo to take on the Storm. Toledo has the best record in the ECHL with 17 points in 10 games. In their only previous meeting, the Storm shut out the MOW 3-0 on October 20 at Rupp Arena. On Sunday, the MOW return to Rupp Arena for the first time in 13 days to face the Johnstown Chiefs. Their only previous meeting was on Halloween when the MOW downed the Chiefs 4-3 in Johnstown.

In Lexington's first ten contests, six have ended in one-goal decisions. The MOW have a 2-2-2 record in one-goal games...The MOW are in the midst of playing five straight games on the road. After Saturday's game in Toledo, the MOW will play four straight games in Rupp Arena... The home stand begins on Sunday vs. the Johnstown Chiefs.
