LAST WEEK: The Pride went 3-0-0 for the week, outscoring their opposition 13-4 and running their winning streak to four games. Pee Dee is in first place in the Southeast Division with a 7-2-1 record for 15 points, one ahead of Columbia.

Thursday, October 31 @ Greensboro PRIDE 4 Generals 2

The Pride ran their all-time record against Greensboro to 11-0-1 with a 4-2 triumph. Eric Naud and Jason Robinson both scored their first goals of the season, while Greg Schmidt and Ryan Knox both tallied a pair of assists.

Friday, November 1 v. Augusta PRIDE 6 Lynx 1

Pee Dee dominated Augusta from start to finish in a 6-1 win. Wes Goldie and Mike Torney each had two goals, and Matt Reid had three assists. The Pride power play was the key to the victory scoring three goals in five opportunities.

Saturday, November 2 @ Greenville PRIDE 3 Grrrowl 1 The Pride won their fourth straight overall and their third in a row on the road at Greenville. Wes Goldie gave the Pride a 1-0 lead early in the first period, and Matt Reid and Preston Mizzi tallied power-play goals in the second. Matt Underhill stopped 32 Greenville shots to improve his record to 4-1-0 on the year.

THIS WEEK'S GAMES Friday, November 8 v. Richmond 7:30 p.m. at the Lion's Den

Richmond makes their only visit to the Lion's Den this season on Friday night. The two teams will meet once more this season, in Richmond in February. All time against the Renegades, the Pride are 6-3-0. After a slow start to the season, the Renegades have rebounded to win their last five games. Entering the week they are 6-5-0 for 12 points and are tied for fifth place in the Northeast Division.

PROMOTIONS: Superhero Night invades the Lion's Den, brought to you by Characters Etc. Heroes vs. Villains hockey hits the ice in the second intermission.

Saturday, November 9 @ Greensboro 7:30 p.m. Radio coverage on Sunny 105.5 at 7:15

The Pride travel to Greensboro for the second time in 10 days. The Generals are 5-3-2 for 12 points this year and are tied with Richmond for fifth place in the Northeast Division.

OTHER NOTES

HOME SWEET HOME

The Pride have continued their home-ice success early in the season. After dropping a shootout to South Carolina on opening night, Pee Dee has won their last four games. In their five outings at home this season, the Pride have outscored their opposition 25-10.

STANDOUTS OF THE MONTH

Linemates Matt Reid and Mike Glumac both were honored by the East Coast Hockey League last week. Reid was named as the C & T Hockey Products Plus-Performer of the Month after posting an ECHL-leading plus-11 during the month of October. Glumac was honored as the ECHL Rookie of the Month. In eight October games the Miami University product scored seven goals and added four assists. Glumac is tied for the lead among ECHL rookies with seven goals and ranks third among freshmen with 12 points.

OUTSCORING THE OPPOSITION . . . BY A LOT

The Pride have scored 43 goals through their first 10 games. Their 4.3 goals per game average is the best in the league. The 25 goals against is the third fewest in the league, and their per game average of 2.50 is the third best in the ECHL. Pee Dee has scored 18 more goals than they have allowed this season, by far the best differential in the league. The next closest to +18 is +10, shared by five teams (Trenton, Roanoke, Atlantic City, Toledo and Louisiana).
