FLORENCE, SC -- Kyle Kidney scored a goal and added three assists, while Allan Sirois and John Jarram both added two goals as an assist as the Pee Dee Pride defeated the South Carolina Stingrays 6-2 in front of a season-high crowd of 4,957 fans at the Florence Civic Center.
Pee Dee raced out to a 4-0 lead through 20 minutes.
Kyle Kidney put the Pride on the board first just 2:39 into the contest as he gathered in a pass from Jan Vodrazka and chipped it past goaltender Justin Eddy for his 17th goal of the season.
The Pride doubled the lead at the 6:28 mark as John Jarram pinched in from the blue line and beat Eddy for a power play goal and his first goal in a Pride sweater.
Pee Dee made it 3-0 four minutes later as Allan Sirois skated across the blue line and beat Eddy with a blistering slap shot for his 21st goal of the season.
Sirois made it 4-0 with the Pride's second power-play goal of the period at 15:20, taking a pass from Jake Wiegand, and beating Gregg Naumenko, who replaced Eddy after the third goal, with a quick shot from the right-wing cirlce.
The Pride increased the lead to 5-0 just 2:15 into the second period as Jarram notched his second of the goal of the night, also on the power play.
South Carolina finally got on the scoreboard at the 5:55 mark of the middle period as Trevor G. Johnson beat Pride goaltender Sebastien Laplante with a wrist shot from the right-wing circle.
The Stingrays closed within three goals 1:50 into the final period as Rich Peverley tallied an unassisted goal.
Steve Cygan set the final with another power-play goal at the 8:46 mark.
Pee Dee was 4-for-5 on the man advantage, tying the team season high for power-play goals in a game.
