
Hutchins Returned By Bridgeport; Campbell Placed On IR

BILOXI, Miss. â Mississippi Sea Wolves general manager and head coach Bob Woods announced today that ECHL All-Star left wing Jeff Hutchins has been returned by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, while left wing Darryl Campbell has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve.
Hutchins, 26, appeared in 14 games with Bridgeport, going without a point and 39 penalty minutes after being called up on March 8. The 6-foot and 205-pound Hutchins was playing for his third AHL team of the 2004-05 after seeing action with Grand Rapids and Rochester earlier this season. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Hutchins scored a goal at the ECHL All-Star Game on January 26 and finished second in the Hardest Shot event at the 2005 ECHL All-Star Skills Competition with a slapshot registered at 92.1 miles per hour. In 38 games with Mississippi this season, Hutchins has tallied 18 goals, six power-play goals, 16 assists, 34 points, a plus/minus of +14 and 128 penalty minutes.
Campbell, 28, has tallied five goals including one shorthand marker and 16 points, while picking up 26 penalty minutes in 61 games with the Sea Wolves this season. The 6-foot and 195-pound native of Strathroy, Ontario is in his fourth professional season and second year with Mississippi.
Hutchins is expected to be in the Sea Wolves lineup tonight for Mississippi's final regular season home game at 7:35 p.m. against the Pensacola Ice Pilots at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
It's Fan Appreciation Night, Southern Miss Night, Empress Audio "Deck Out Your Ride" High School Showdown Night and Military 2-for-1 Night. There will be a postgame jersey auction to benefit the Southern Miss Alumni Scholarship Fund. In addition, 2,000 thundersticks will be given away courtesy of Roy Anderson Corp.
