Mississippi Sea Wolves News Release

ESTERO, FL - The Mississippi Sea Wolves jumped out to an early lead on a goal from Kyle McAllister, but the Florida Everblades roared back with three unanswered goals to defeat Mississippi 3-1 at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida on Friday evening.

Kyle McAllister got the Sea Wolves out to a 1-0 lead when Jeff Kyrzakos found McAllister open in the slot and the former Everblade fired through the five-hole of Florida goaltender David Leggio at 7:50 of the first period. The Everblades evened the score when Kevin Baker threw a centering pass into the crease that A.J. Thelen redirected into the net at 17:48 of the first.

Florida took the lead midway through the second, when Andrew Sweetland banged home the rebound of a shot from Milan Gajic at 12:02. Jacob Micflikier gave the Everblades an insurance goal at 19:59 of the second, poking home a loose puck as time expired.

Ryan Munce made 35 saves to earn a loss, and the Sea Wolves were 0-for-6 on the power play.
