PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Friday announced the First Team All-ECHL selections as determined in a vote of ECHL coaches.

C - Carl Mallette, Toledo Storm (62 gp, 30g, 47a, 77 pts, +6)
RW - Chris Minard, Alaska Aces (67 gp, 48g, 28a, 76 pts, +17)
D - Ray DiLauro, Wheeling Nailers (70 gp, 12g, 39a, 51 pts, -6)
D - Guy Dupuis, Bakersfield Condors (70 gp, 11g, 34a, 45 pts, +27)
G - Chris Madden, Florida Everblades (28 gp, 19-5-2, 5 shutouts, 2.14, .941)

Playing in his hometown of Anchorage during the National Hockey League lockout, Alaska left wing Scott Gomez leads the ECHL with 71 assists, 27 power-play assists and 83 points in 60 games. Gomez has 25 multiple-point games, including his last four games, and he tied the team record for points in a game with five points on January 5 and 8. He has 21 multiple-assist games, five assists on January 5 and January 8, setting a team record and tying the ECHL season high for assists in a game.

Toledo center Carl Mallette is third in the ECHL in scoring with 77 points (30g-47a) in 61 games. Mallette is the first All-ECHL selection for the Storm since 2000-01 when left wing James Patterson and right wing Andrew Williamson were both named First Team All-ECHL. The 23-year-old Mallette has scored 12 points (6g-6a) in six games with Toledo after beginning the season in Greenville where he led the team in points (65), goals (24) and assists (41) through 55 games. Named a starter for the American Conference in the ECHL All-Star Game, Mallette has also played in the American Hockey League, picking up two assists in seven games with Hershey and four penalty minutes in three games with Cincinnati.

In his third professional season, Alaska's Chris Minard leads the ECHL with 48 goals and needs two goals in his final two games to become the first ECHL player to score 50 goals since Andrew Williamson of Toledo scored 52 in 2000-01. Minard has 21 multiple-point games and is fourth in the league with 76 points in 67 games. Minard, who represented Alaska in the 2005 ECHL All-Star Game, has 11 multiple-goal games, including a league season high and team record five goals on January 8 and a hat trick on March 24 at Peoria.

Now in his third full professional season, Ray DiLauro becomes the first Wheeling defenseman to be named All-ECHL and only the second Nailer to be named to the First Team All-ECHL, joining right wing Jason Jaffray in 2003-04. Selected in the ninth round (246th overall) by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, DiLauro is tied for the ECHL lead with 33 power play points while his nine power-play goals and 24 power-play assists rank second among ECHL defensemen. DiLauro ranks second among defensemen with 39 assists and 51 points in 69 games. He has established career highs for games, goals, assists, points and penalty minutes (82).

Guy Dupuis of Bakersfield ranks second among ECHL defensemen in plus-minus rating (+27) and he is tied for fifth in scoring with 45 points (11g-34a) and ranks sixth in assists. The 15-year veteran, who was captain of the National Conference for the 2005 ECHL All-Star Game, has played in all 70 games for Bakersfield and ranks second on the team assists and power-play points (20).

Acquired by Florida at the trade deadline, Chris Madden becomes the second goaltender in Everblades history to be named to the All-ECHL Team, joining Marc Magliarditi, who was named Second Team All-ECHL in 1998-99. Madden began the season with Long Beach and was 19-5-2 with a goals-against average of 2.14 and a save percentage of .941, both career bests. Signed by Providence of the American Hockey League on February 19, the 26-year-old Madden is 5-3-0 with a 1.76 goals-against average and a .938 save percentage with the Bruins. Madden was the starting goaltender for the National Conference at the 2005 ECHL All-Star Game, stopping 12 of 13 shots in the first period.

The recipient of the ECHL Sportsmanship Award will be announced on Saturday.
