Thomas Larkin Reassigned to Springfield

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons announced Friday morning that defenseman Thomas Larkin was reassigned to the team by the Columbus Blue Jackets from the Evansville IceMen of the ECHL.

Larkin, a fifth-round (137th overall) draft selection of the Blue Jackets in 2009, has played in two games with the Falcons this season, recording zero points and five penalty minutes. In 23 games with Evansville this season, the Cocquio Trevisago, Italy native has totaled 11 assists, 50 penalty minutes and a +7 rating.

A product of Colgate University, Larkin joined Springfield at the end of the 2012-13 season, amassing one goal and two penalty minutes in seven games.

The Falcons travel to Lewiston, Maine to take on the Portland Pirates Friday, January 17 at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. The team returns to the MassMutual Center Saturday, January 18 to host the Providence Bruins at 7:00 p.m.

Fans are invited to the MassMutual Center in 2013-14 to watch the reigning Northeast Division-champion Falcons compete in their 20th anniversary season.
