Springfield Falcons News Release

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons are pleased to partner with Covanta for another Food Exchange Night on Saturday, April 16, when the Falcons take on the Portland Pirates at the MassMutual Center at 7 p.m.

The first 300 fans who bring a non-perishable food item to the Covanta concourse table that night will receive a Covanta drawstring backpack. Covanta will donate all items collected to the Open Pantry Community Services of Springfield.

Covanta owns and operates over forty new generation waste combustion facilities worldwide with added benefit of energy recovery, also known as waste-to-energy or energy-from-waste power generation plants. Facilities operated by Covanta produce electricity for approximately one million homes in communities across North America by converting municipal solid waste into renewable energy.
