IceCaps Recall Cody Sol; Sign Jamie MacQueen to PTO

The St. John's IceCaps announced today they have recalled defenceman Cody Sol from the Ontario Reign of the ECHL. The IceCaps have also signed forward Jamie MacQueen to a professional tryout contract.

Sol, 22, has played in 35 games for Ontario this season, collecting seven points (4G, 3A) and 66 penalty minutes with a +1 rating. The 6'6" rearguard has played in 27 career AHL games, including 26 with the IceCaps in 2012-13, where he recorded four points (1G, 3A) and 63 penalty minutes.

The Woodstock, ON native was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 5th round (125th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

MacQueen, 25, has split time between the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies and the AHL's Norfolk Admirals this season. In 18 games with Utah, MacQueen notched 17 points (10G, 7A) and 23 penalty minutes. With Nofolk, MacQueen suited up in 14 contests, notching three points (1G, 2A) and six penalty minutes.

The London, ON native has played in 46 career AHL games for eight points (4G, 4A) and 18 penalty minutes.
