Penguins recall Caron from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled goaltender Sebastien Caron from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced today by General Manager Craig Patrick.

Caron, 25, has appeared in six games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton after being assigned from Pittsburgh on December 3rd. Caron has posted a 1.18 goals against average and a .954 save percentage with two shutouts and a 3-3-0 record in six games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Caron has appeared in 13 games with Pittsburgh this season, posting a 5-3-3 record with a 3.95 goals against average and a .885 save percentage.

The 6-1 and 170-pound native of Amqui, Quebec was drafted by the Penguins in the fourth round (86th overall) of the 1999 Entry Draft.
