January 11, 2006 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hershey Bears News Release

It's the third game of a four-game road trip for Bruce Boudreau and company as HERSHEY takes on the Springfield Falcons Wednesday night at MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The BEARS have one point in the first two games of the road trip, dropping a 4-3 shootout in Bridgeport this past Friday night before losing 4-0 at Binghamton on Saturday. HERSHEY received forward Boyd Kane back from the Washington Capitals on Monday, but lost forward Colin Forbes to a recall to Washington on Tuesday. HERSHEY will start goaltender Kirk Daubenspeck in net tonight, as the club begins a stretch of four games in five nights Wednesday evening.

Springfield enters the contest winless in 10 straight games, the longest current winless streak in the American Hockey League. The Falcons also will feature former BEARS forward Chris Dingman, who played in 17 games for the Chocolate and White during the 1998-99 season before playing for two seasons with the Colorado Avalanche.

Tonight's game is being broadcast by the BEARS Radio network throughout central Pennsylvania on 100.1 FM WQIC and 1490-AM WLPA. John Walton calls the action from western Massachusetts beginning with the pregame show at 6:45 p.m. The game is also available worldwide via Pennlive.com and with video from B2 Networks through HersheyBears.com. HERSHEY returns home this weekend to face the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. before squaring off with the Norfolk Admirals Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Tickets for both games are available this week through the GIANT Center box office or by calling (717) 508-BEAR.
