Providence Bruins News Release
Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins announced today that they will begin the auction of their Dunkin' Donuts warm-up jerseys, on the team website, www.providencebruins.com, on Friday, March 10th at 10:00 a.m. The jerseys are the actual ones worn by the P-Bruins' players during the warm-up period at each home game this season. The auction is available only on the P-Bruins' website, and will run through 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 1. Net proceeds from the auction of the jerseys will be donated to Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence. The donations will be presented by the Providence Bruins and Dunkin' Donuts.
"The warm-up jersey auction is a culmination of our year long fundraising for the Hasbro Children's Hospital," said Providence Bruins President Matt Poore. "The partnership we have with Hasbro and the children is special to the team and our players."
"Dunkin' Donuts is proud to once again partner with the Providence Bruins to benefit patients at Hasbro Children's Hospital," said Joe Prazeres, Dunkin' Donuts franchisee and chairman of the Providence market advertising committee. "Not only does the online auction give P-Bruins fans a chance to get an authentic warm-up jersey of their favorite player, but it also benefits the children and doctor's at Hasbro Children's Hospital."
Fans who win a jersey through the auction will be contacted directly by the Providence Bruins. Fans will receive an email once they place a bid and should check back regularly to see if they are still winning the auction.
Providence Bruins players have been visiting with children every Tuesday throughout the season.
The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center on Friday, March 10 versus the Lowell Lock Monsters at 7:05 p.m. before hitting the road Saturday, March 11 at the Springfield Falcons at 7:05 p.m. The P-Bruins are also home at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Sunday, March 12 versus the Hershey Bears at 4:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans will receive clapper courtesy of The Washington Trust Company.
