Wilkes-Barre - Defenseman Alain Nasreddine has been recalled from loan by the Pittsburgh Penguins, it was announced on Friday.

Nasreddine, 30, has appeared in 61 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season, recording 12 assists and a plus-21 rating, which is tied for third in the AHL.

The 6-1, 208 pound defenseman has 153 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton during the past three seasons, recording 32 points (4+28) and 189 penalty minutes.

Acquired from the New York Islanders for Steve Webb n March 8, 2004, Nasreddine has appeared in 18 NHL games with the Islanders and Montreal Canadiens, going scoreless with 54 penalty minutes.
